CD Bulletin
Dear Country Dale Families,
We are just a few days away from opening our doors to start another new school year. Our staff has already been hard at work preparing for our students throughout the month of August. Many have participated in a variety of trainings, professional development and various collaborative work sessions in order to grow our school.
Last week, student schedules and teachers were made visible in PowerSchool. With the announcement of these class placements comes excitement and possibly some level of worry. We fully understand this and want to create the best learning environment we can for every student therefore we ask that you trust our expertise and all the careful planning in which student placements were made at the end of last school year. Keeping that in mind, we do not take requests for specific teachers. Thank you for trusting us to do what is best for your child and our entire school.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Open House!

COUNTRY DALE OPEN HOUSE TUESDAY, AUGUST 30TH
Country Dale will be holding their in-person open house events on Tuesday, August 30th from 5:30-7 pm. Teachers** will be available to meet and greet students and families. Please bring your child's school supplies with you for drop off in the classroom.
**4K staff will not be in attendance at Open House and will be scheduling "Getting To Know" conference times with families that will occur during the first two days of school.
START OF SCHOOL YEAR PLANNING
As a reminder, the first few days of school will include a staggered start for most grade levels. Please review the information below so you can best plan for your child(ren) and your family.
4K Students will have Get-To-Know-You Conferences on Thursday, September 1st and Friday, September 2nd where parents and their child can attend for a short meeting with the teacher. Then, 4K students will have a staggered start on Tuesday, September 6th (Last Names A-K) or Wednesday, September 7th (Last Names L-Z). Details about the conferences will be shared directly with 4K families from 4K teachers.
For 5K through 8th Grade, there will be a staggered start over the first two days of school on September 1st and 2nd similar to how we have done the last two school years. The staggered start provides opportunities, especially for our younger students, to work with teachers on these days to better understand school and classroom norms, technology expectations, safety protocols, lunch procedures, recess routines, bus arrival/departure processes, and more. The details of which students will attend on which day are shown below.
COUNTRY DALE PARENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURE
If you plan on dropping off or picking up your child from Country Dale, please read this important information regarding our procedure. Family name cards can be picked up during Open House or will be sent home with the youngest or only child. 4K students will be receiving their name cards during their "Getting to Know You Day". Please note the new information about groups according to student's last name. Click for Country Dale Parent Drop Off and Pick Up Procedure.
FPS RESPONSE TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASE (INCLUDING COVID-19)
As we head into the new school year, we want to make families aware of how we will continue to manage our prevention efforts surrounding diseases that can spread among individuals in a school setting. Please refer to the decision tree below (and linked here) for how to handle illness with your children and you can also refer to this health services document that details how we will approach communicable disease in our schools. As with any communicable disease, you will receive guidance from our nursing services staff on how long your child should be excluded from school based on their symptoms of illness or diagnosis as applicable.

PLANNING FOR SCHOOL LUNCHES 2022-23
We want to remind families about what school lunch will look like for the 2022-23 school year. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that has been allowing students to receive free meals will no longer be offering this service for free next school year.
