Google Add-ons: do more with Google!
Add-ons allow users to do more tasks and are available in Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms. They can be turned on or off or deleted at any time. You can easily search a variety of add-ons by clicking the add-ons tab within any of the Google options mentioned above. Some of our faves are listed below.

Choice Eliminator
Choice Eliminator is perfect for teachers giving students a choice of topics without doubling up. This Google Form add-on will eliminate an option from a multiple choice, list, or checkbox question after a user has submitted it.
Word Cloud Generator
Use this Docs add-on to quickly assess what your emerging theme is, how to best categorize your document, or if it is someone's else's document - find out the theme of the document without reading it.
Newsela: Read closely. Think critically. Be worldly
Newsela is an online resource that aims to help teachers find current events articles that are appropriate for their students' age and reading abilities. During the 2016 presidential campaign Newsela is offering a section called Vote 2016 where students can get informed about the candidates and issues with news at the just-right reading level.
