Battle of the Books Kicks Off
The purpose of a Battle of the Books is to encourage reading through a little friendly, quick action, competition. Teams of five students compete against each other in a quiz-bowl type competition. All questions begin with “In which book…” Students will create the questions for the battle as they are reading the books. Competition will be double elimination tournament brackets with the winning team from Sierra competing against the following middle schools: Castle Rock, Cimarron, Cresthill, Ranch View, and Rocky Heights. The district competition will be held in April.
Titles for this year's battle can be found by clicking here. Books are available for participants in the LMC and or as ebooks by clicking here and using the student's district username and password.
