How to Change Careers
So, you're having a rough time at your current job? Don't be scared. It is perfectly normal to do something for a long time and get bored of it. What you need is to leave (with a two weeks notice).
During a career move, ignorance is the same as anxiety. Go through as much research as possible before going through with a change. You'll need to get online and talk to experts in your field of interest.
It is perfectly okay to be scared of changing your career path. It is a normal thing to be terrified. It is a risk! And risks can be scary. But, you have to be willing to take risks in order for changes to happen. Otherwise, you'll never get out of the job you're stuck with.
If it doesn't make you happy, what's the point in doing it? There isn't any point in losing a job you were uninterested in only to get stuck in the same place a year later. However, if you have a high maintenance life style, you'll need to find something you enjoy but with a practical paycheck.
It may seem as if you'll never find another job. You simply have to remain optimistic and keep looking for a job. If you have proper training and education, it should be fairly easy to do! If you do not have the proper training or education, it will be extremely difficult for you to find any career of your choosing.
You will have to have financial stability before you quit at your place of work. If you don't, there will be so much stress that there won't be much time to find a career. You should (for sure) create a financial budget. You may even have to cut out things that aren't needed!
If you begin to feel overwhelmed by the big things, do the following.
- Take a step back
- Evaluate the problem
- Focus on the now, not the later
" By taking action each day, you can feel more in control and confident."
Changing careers takes a lot of time and effort. However, it won't solve anything to run yourself down. It is okay to turn the business off for a while to focus on family, friends, loved ones, etc.
The best thing about success is the feeling of self worth.
(The paycheck is just a bonus)
You have what you want and you can see yourself as the person you imagined before you quit your job.
"If you can determine your personal definition of a successful life, you can then design a career change plan that will get you what you really want. It may take longer to get there, but meeting your own standards—rather than somebody else’s—is a formula for lasting satisfaction."
