Community Connections with Dr. Kopicki
Dear Jamison Elementary School Families,
Please join me in the Jamison library on April 6 from 6 until 7 p.m. for this school year’s second “Community Connections” meeting.
These meetings are designed to encourage frank conversations about a shared vision for the future of our schools. I continue to be grateful for the feedback and ideas that our families share with me during these meetings. I hope you can find time to attend.
Stay Well,
John J. Kopicki, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
Message from our Home and School President
Jamison’s HSA is an all-volunteer organization, which thrives on the contribution of time our families have made to support our efforts. To continue to operate as a successful HSA providing support to our students and teachers, as well as planning exciting events for our community, WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
Openings for the 2020-2021 School Year are as follows:
Executive Board
President - Have the responsibility and authorizes, with the right of delegation, for overseeing the operation of the HSA, among many other responsibilities.
Treasurer - Keep an accurate record of the receipts, expenditures and related financial matters, among many other responsibilities.
Secretary - Keep the minutes of all meetings of the HSA and publish them to the Executive Board and the general membership at or before the next meeting, among many other responsibilities.
Elections for the open board positions will be at the General Membership Meeting on May 6 at 9:00am. If you would like to be nominated for one of the open positions, please email our Nominating Committee, Toni Holstine at toni.holstine@yahoo.com, Bridget Liczbinski at auntbridgy1@aol.com, or Cindy Zeigler at cindy.b.zeigler@gmail.com.
There are also several Committee Chair positions that will be open to shadow in 2020-2021 with the intention of taking over the position in 2021-2022 (Homeroom Parent Coordinator, Fall Family Fun Night, Directory, Bingo, among others).
We will be holding a meeting for anyone interested in Executive Board or Committee Chair positions on March 18th at 8:45am. Feel free to come with questions, to find out more about a specific position, or just to see how you can become more involved.
Please contact Lindsey Heller, President, at hsajamisonel@gmail.com, if you have questions regarding Board and Committee openings.

We Salute You Award:
This is a monthly award given to a student that a staff member feels is dedicated to being the best person they can be in all that they do. This award can be given to a student that goes out of his/her way to help a friend, is a great classmate, and gives 110% in everything he/she does. This student receives a certificate at our monthly assembly as well as a Jamison Jet T-Shirt.
February’s Winner:
· Elliott Tull
Jet Ticket Winners:
When students are “caught being good”, a Jamison staff member can recognize their behavior by giving them a JET Ticket. The student must write his/her name on the ticket and circle the appropriate character trait (Respect / Responsibility / Safe Community / Sportsmanship). Students place the JET Tickets in the Ticket Box located outside of the Main Office. Then, three students from grades K-3 and three students from grades 4-6 are randomly drawn at our monthly assembly and are given Jet T-Shirts.
