"Mind Shift: Moving from a Culture of Teaching to a Culture of Learning"
In this interactive 6-hour session, Continuous Improvement Coaches will assist participants in using instructional models as frameworks for creating highly effective lessons that exemplify a mindset shift from teaching to learning. As educators seek to develop a culture where learning is the core business of schools/districts, they will need to deepen their understanding of how to utilize meta-cognitive strategies to allow learners to autonomy for learning. This shift will promulgate and increase in student self-regulated learning as well as Collective Teacher Efficacy - both influences from Hattie's work. In addition, the session will provide an opportunity for participants to deepen their work with meta-cognitive thinking rather than with isolated strategies. EILA credit will be provided upon reguest.
