MSU Campus and Murray Community members are invited to attend the 2016 Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Breakfast and Day of Service at 8:30am on January 18th hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Omicron Chapter in the MSU Curris Center Banquet Room. The breakfast is free and open to the public. Please RSVP below to assist us in planning.
Keynote Speaker
The Breakfast keynote speaker will be Dr. Curtis Daniels, Pastor, Macedonia COGIC, Elyria, OH, and Radio Personality for “Traveling Home with Jesus” on AM 1040 WJTB North Ridgeville-Cleveland. Dr. Daniels is an accomplished songwriter and phenomenal organist who has accompanied national artists such as Bishop Rance Allen, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, and Dr Dorinda Clark-Cole to name a few. He currently serves as designated organist for the COGIC International Women’s Convention. Dr. Daniels is very active in community and college service initiatives.
Service Project
This year’s service project is an item collection for all the regional nonprofit organizations that are in need in our community. Please bring any of the items listed here to the MLK Day of Service collection point in the Curris Center Banquet Room 1 between 8:00am-10:15am.
After the breakfast, help will be needed to sort all of the donations for each agency and deliver them. All are welcome to stay and help.
