2. Visit Article on Coronavirus and read the article
3. Watch a short video called, "Your Immune System"
- Write a response (using evidence from the article and video) by answering the following questions:
- How are people trying to stop the spread of the new coronavirus?
- Compare and contrast coronavirus and the flu.
- Explain what Dr. Denison means when he says “Viruses are like a big family.”
Create a poster/advertisement urging people to practice good hygiene in order to stay safe during this virus outbreak.
ACTIVITY 5: Writing an Opinion Essay
- Writing: Write an opinion essay on the topic: Should people be allowed to travel to Mars?
Essay Format:
- Topic Sentence (with your opinion)
- First reason with supporting details from the text
- Second reason with supporting details from the text
- Third reason with supporting details from the text
- Conclusion
- Explore: Spend some time exploring Mars! There are lots of fun games, videos, and photos to enjoy.

ACTIVITY 1: REVIEW & PRACTICE FRACTIONS & DECIMALS
1. Watch a video about the Fraction & Decimal Relationship2. Choose & complete at least one activity from the Fraction & Decimal Project Board
ACTIVITY 2: FRACTIONS & DECIMALS ON A NUMBER LINE
1. Complete the Checkpoint activity on a separate sheet of paper
2. Revisit the Fraction & Decimal Project Board and pick a new activity
ACTIVITY 3: INTERACTIVE FRACTIONS ON A NUMBER LINE
1. Select "Identify" under the FRACTIONS column2. On the lefthand side, change the "LENGTH" to 20
3. Select "NUMBER LINE" and practice placing fractions on the number line
ACTIVITY 4: INTERACTIVE FRACTIONS & DECIMALS
1. Select "Identify" under the FRACTIONS column2. On the lefthand side, change the "LENGTH" to 20
3. Select "DECIMALS" and practice identifying decimals
4. Then, select "BOTH" under the ordering column on the lefthand side and practice ordering fractions and decimals
ACTIVITY 5: POST ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY
1. Revisit the Fraction & Decimal Project Board and pick a new activity
2. Complete the Post Assessment Activity on a separate piece of paper
