China's rise economically and their influence!
The trade in china has grown by over 261.2 billion with a year on year increase of 8.18%
China's Growth has been a large since the 1990's
It has been influenced by their increase in energy consumption
However it has caused a huge environmental impact in china
As more Factories have been built in and around china they have seen mass population transfer
This change has caused a new domestic retail environment and increased demand for consumer products
It has also increased wealth in the country
Hinduhism V.S. Buddahism
Differences:
Buddhists think that humans are bound to suffer and that suffering is caused by attachment to things.
Hindusim is sometimes characterized by belief in reincarnation.
Buddhism founder is Siddhartha Gautama while Hinduism doesn't have a founder.
some prominent figures in Buddahism are King Ashoka, Dalai Lama, Maitreya,
and Kuan Yin while Hinduism doesn't have a single common founder.
The Holy sites in Buddahism are Bodh Gaya, Kushinagar, lumbini, Muktinath, Sarnath, and Varanasi while Hinduism's holy sites are Allahabad, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujiain
Similarities:
They both have a main Geographical Regions are the Indian subcontinent
They both have a cultural tradition is Indian
Both religions are polytheistic
The nature of deity are Loving/Benign
They both believe in the after life
They both believe in the Existence of deity
The Kashmir Conflict
The Kashmir conflict has been going on between the two countries since 1947 when the acted in the Indo-Pakistani wars that were also in the years of 1965 and 1999!
India took over the states of Jammu and Kashmir giving them 43% of the region, But Pakistan have control over about 37% of Kashmir!
India believes that Kashmir is an "Integral part of India" while Pakistan believes that Kashmir is the "Jugular vein of Pakistan".
The final status of the Kashmir will be up to the citizens within the country.
The Caste System
Traditional organization of south asia, usually Hindu
Hierarchy of hereditary groups called castes or jatis.
Marriage occurs only within caste, which is fixed at birth
Each caste is associated with a job
Hindu religious principles affect the hierarchy of the class and limit the ways they interact.
Connected to the hindus four varnas, which order and rank society.
The order from highest is the brahmins(priests), Kshatriyas(warriors), Vaishyas(merchants), Shudras(laborers)
China's 1 child per Family policy
- The policy was introduced in 1978 and applied in 1979
- The policy has prevented 250 million births between 1980 and 2000
- The policy has increased the number in forced abortions
- In 2008 they stated that the policy will stay in place for at least another decade
- Until the 1960's the government encouraged families to have as many children as possible because they had the belief that population growth empowered the country
- In most rural areas most people to apply to have a second child if their first born is the daughter
- If the families have more then one child have to pay a large fine
