Mid-October Already?
It's true what they say, time flies when you're having fun! There's been a lot of fun to go along with all the learning here at Burnside this month! A couple extra special events have included Family STEM Night, where we welcomed almost 200 people. Second graders went on a field trip to the MN Zoo and 3rd graders went to Oxbow and the planetarium. Never a dull day!

Club's Choice Fundraiser!
The delivery day is Wednesday, November 7 from 2:30-5:30pm. We are in need of volunteers to help organize and distribute orders. If you are able to help out, please email Barb Calley at bjcalley@rwps.org or call at 385-4701.
Money raised goes to our Innovative Learning Fund. If you would ever like to contribute directly to the Innovative Learning Fund, you can by clicking HERE.
Picture Retake Day: November 2
Book Fair
Classes will go to the Book Fair during the day if kids have money to spend. Parents are welcome to visit the Book Fair in the morning with their children from 7:30-8:10AM. Please stop in the office to sign in with your driver's license and then hit up the Book Fair from there!

Flu Shot Clinic at Burnside!
For the Community: Community flu clinics will be held at RWHS on Nov. 8th and at Burnside on Nov. 15th, 3-6pm which are open to the public. There is no pre-registration for those. Questions can be emailed to vicki.iocco@co.goodhue.mn.us .
Mr. Lahammer's third grade classroom was doing "body math." The students learned about perpendicular and parallel lines
Fourth grade students were working on their recorders in music class. They were sounding great on day 2!
Students were having a great time in Phy Ed.
3rd Grade Concert: November 20 at 1:15PM
There will not be an evening performance, there will only be this afternoon performance. We hope to see you there!
