A Look Back at September
- Library Orientations were finished up the first week of September! Students have loved coming to the library to check out books.
- 2nd-5th Grade learned all about Library Skills September 12-14. Learning the different sections of our library, how to identify Call Numbers, search for books in OPAC, etc.
- Dot Day was September 15. We celebrated by collaborating with Art to have each student create their own dot masterpiece. First grade came to the library to create their own 3D Dot using the Quiver app.
- September 19 and 20, 5th Grade ELA and I collaborated to teach Research Skills. Students researched a famous Hispanic individual and created a Canva infographic on them.
- September 26 2nd grade learned to code BeeBots to make it to Johnny Appleseed.
- From September 27-29, students in 2nd-5th were invited to a Book Tasting. Students were exposed to different genres and books they might not have selected before! Mrs. Wilson taught students how to preview a book to decide if its a "just right" book for them!
