Media Center News
Second grade enjoyed reading a story with the Star Wars 501st Georgia Garrison last week. We had two storm troopers, Chewbacca and one rebel pilot. The members who came had a blast, and it looks like they would love to return next year. They were very touched by the thank-you letters and card that they received for the kids. In fact, they volunteer for charitable events all year, and they said they never got such a nice thank you. They loved our kids!
Counselors' Corner
CONGRATULATIONS to the February Attendance Winners!!! Good Job!
Custodian Closet
Please stack classroom chairs at the end of the day and pick up all litter off the carpet.
Breakfast trash bags are provided in the teachers work room. Have your student place their waste in them, tie them up and set them in the hallway before FLIP. Please do not use your trash can it takes Jerry two to three times long to collect because he has to reline each can. Classroom teachers in the trailers if you would on inclement weather days remove your bag from your can, tie it up and leave it on your porch. That would help with keeping your can clean and dry along with the trash being picked up to prevent unwanted pest.
Vandalism - please, please check on students in the restrooms, the ceiling are covered with wet paper! The plumber was in again this week to remove paper towel from a toilet. Yesterday a $40 insert to a urinal had it's cover broken off this is getting very expensive for my department. Also we are seeing an increase of footprints on the toilet from students standing on to look into the next stall.
Increase number of cases of illness was experience this week at school, please remember to spray all hard surfaces with your Vindicator. If your bottle needs refilling leave it in the hallways outside your classroom and it will be filled and returned.
