Bush Counseling Corner
October-Drug and Bully Free
Lets be courageous!
All students will learn the definition of courage and how to apply it to their everyday life.
Courage: to choose what is good, right, and kind even when it is hard or scary.
Conversation starters:
This month we encourage parents to have conversations with their students about drugs and alcohol and how to be courageous by saying no. Students will also learn about trusted adults; who they are, when to go to them and what to go to them with. We encourage our families to speak to their students about who their trusted adults are at school, at home, and in the community.

September Recap
Third graders had a particularly fun project where they were able to spread kindness throughout Bush Elementary for all students and staff to enjoy. Students worked in groups to create pull-away kindness messages and these were posted throughout Bush. Staff and students were encouraged to tear away a kind message when they needed a pick me up during their day. Students were excited to spread kindness and continue to be excited seeing Bush Elementary enjoy their words of kindness.
