We are so excited to be welcoming your children back to Whitman for the 22-23 school year! We have already been hard at work planning to make this year a year of joyful learning. This summer, teachers received training on our new Language Arts curriculum, which will mean lots of new books and activities for your children! We have also been planning math, special events and lots of other surprises for the year.

Here are some important beginning of year dates for you to know:

• August 26, 2:30 - 3:30 pm: Ice Cream Social!

• Come by the school to say hello to your teachers and staff, and to have some ice cream!

• August 27, 10:00 - 12:00: Community Playground Cleanup

• Come by the playground to help us get things looking great for the first day of school!

• August 30: First day of School for grades 1-5!

• We can’t wait to see you on August 30 at 8:45 am! School hours are 8:45 - 3:00. School doors open at 8:30. Kindergarten students will have a different schedule during the first week of school. If you have a child in Kindergarten, please look for a separate letter about your child’s schedule.

• September 5: No School, Labor Day Holiday

• September 6: First Full Day of School for all Kindergarten Students

Choose a schedule that works best for your family. Champions offer BEFORE and AFTER school program.

Our program takes place right on school grounds.

We’ll support your child’s growth and discovery every day with hands-on curriculum and qualified teachers

4. Subsidy and scholarships available

Programs such as ERDC and CCI can cover up to 100% of your tuition.

Champions opens at 6:30am and supports your child until the start of the school day and in the afternoon, from the time school gets out until 6pm, Monday through Friday.
