Passages Class for Teens and Parents

A six week class that meets on October 13, 20, 27 and November 3, 10, 17
From 6:30-8:15pm at The Clay County Juvenile Office (351 E. Kansas, Liberty)

A safe space for teens to turn their troubles into gifts and to have a more meaningful passage to adulthood. Skills and creative activities are offered for four main passages: physical, emotional, mental, and social. Parents are encouraged to explore parenting skills that can enhance the teen's changes. Ancient initiation stories are told to awaken each person's unique style and imagination. Teens and parents will be together for the first part of the evening and separate for the last half.

The seminar is intended for Clay County residents, children ages 13 to 16, and with at least one parent attending. Parents may also attend without their children.

This course is facilitated by David Strabala, LCSW, juvenile office counselor and storyteller

There are no fees to attend this course but you MUST CALL to be included in this class as space is limited. Refreshments will be served.

Graduating EARLY?

If your student is graduating in December, they need to fill out an Early Graduation application. Mrs. Streu has given these out BUT if for some reason your student didn't get a form or if they need a new form, please email her at lstreu@liberty.k12.mo.us to request a new one. ALL APPLICATIONS FOR EARLY GRADUATION ARE DUE TO MRS. STREU NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 15TH!

Liberty High Homecoming: Beneath the BLUE

The homecoming dance is Saturday evening, October 1st from 8-11pm in the gym. This dance is semi-formal. Tickets are $15. Find all the details HERE.

Color Powder Party
The 2nd Annual Powder Party will be held before the Friday night football game. This FREE event is open to LHS students only. The celebration begins at 5pm in the LHS back parking lot. The first 400 people will receive a t-shirt, powder packet, a slice of pizza, and a drink.

Homecoming Football Game
The LHS Blue Jays will take on the Park Hill South Panthers on Friday at 7pm. The theme is WHITE OUT.

Liberty North High Homecoming: Mission: Homecoming, North Nation

The North homecoming dance will take place on Saturday, October 8th, in the LNHS Auxiliary Gym from 8-11:00pm, with music provided by ReMIX DJs. Dress is semi-formal, and students in inappropriate attire will not be admitted (no jeans or shorts and dresses must be school appropriate). All students and guests must have a photo ID in order to be admitted to the dance. More information, including the out of district date form, can be found HERE.

Art Club needs...

Art Club could use the following items you have them around the house:
Old tshirts- could be any color or condition, they will be cut into strips so even stains don’t matter. Seashells you don’t want any more, and empty glass Starbucks Frappuccino bottles.
