News from Plattin Primary
November 2017
October Notes:
The warm days of October allowed for us to have plenty of outdoor play time. The students are learning and growing each day as we move through the school year. Although we enjoy the warm days late into fall the weather quickly changes and reminds us winter is on its way! Here are a few highlights from October:
- We started the month with McTeacher Night, thank you for attending we earned over $850 for the classrooms.
- The community gathered on October 11 for the CSIP Meeting.
- The students learned more about Fire Safety from the R7 Fire District, we were able to exit the building in 51 seconds with our fire drill.
- We participated in the statewide Great American Shakeout-Earthquake Drill.
- PTO hosted Trunk or Treat with over 250 participants.
- Students enjoyed dress up days and learned about Red Ribbon Week.
- We wrapped up the month with Fall Parties and Parent Teacher Conferences.

November Food Drive and Service Learning Project
In November we wish display respect to our community by hosting a Food Drive for not only friends but also animals who are in need. We hope that you can help us provide some much needed items that correspond with your child's classroom. This will allow us to provide to Brenden's Backpack program and the local animal shelter with needed items during the holiday season.
