From the Principal
Dear Copeland Families,
Spring break is almost here (no school March 9th – 13th), and I love springtime! I know we are all ready for some family fun time. We have had lots of illnesses. Please do not send your children back to school until they are fever free without fever reducing medication for 24 hours following an illness. Children with a temperature of 100 degrees or more should not be sent to school.
A link to our parent survey was sent out last week. The survey closes Friday, February 28th. Thanks to all who completed it. We value your input.
Next week is our Copeland Staff Appreciation Week (March 2 – 6). The dates for National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4 – 8. We choose to celebrate our staff in March here at Copeland. Thanks for taking this opportunity to let our amazing staff know how much you appreciate them. We really are blessed with the best!
On Friday, March 6th, our 3rd graders will participate in Multicultural Day. Thanks to all parents who have signed up to make this day a great success. We also will have our Pre K Tea for Two that day.
We have a wonderful superintendent in CFISD. Dr. Henry will again sponsor his Superintendent’s Fun Run on March 21st. It is a great family event! If you plan to attend, please register here and list Copeland as your school. There is a sleep in pass available for $10 if you are unable to make it. All funds raised are for student scholarships through the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF).
We raised almost $5,000 in our Pennies for Patients drive to benefit those with childhood cancer. Thanks so much for your generous support. Congratulations to Mrs. Rampersad’s class. They raised the most money and will receive a pasta lunch from Olive Garden!

Clinic - Nurse Kane
Clinic donations needed: We are in need of clean, gently used pants in size 6/8/10 for either girls or boys.
Art Room Request - Mrs. Krengel
Thank you all for the donations! I am currently collecting the lids from the squeeze fruit pouches. They are round and plastic and I really could use colors other than a green. The students are saving lots of tops at school from breakfast, but they are all green. I need other colors. Thank you!
