From the Principal

Monday is MLK Jr Day. All Life School campuses and offices will be closed on this day. We hope you enjoy a 3 day weekend with your family.

Our students have settled back into their routine and are busy learning new things and working hard each day. Please stay in communication with your child's teacher on how he/she is doing. Check folders and backpacks daily. And ask your child specifics about each day. Doing these things will help you to get a good picture of your child's academic progress.

Thanks you for your commitment to your child and to LSRO!

Have a great weekend!

Students must have perfect attendance during the month, no absences, tardies, or early checkouts. There will be a prize for students that are in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade and a prize for students in 4th grade thru 6th grade. The prize winners will be announced during morning announcements and we will contact the parents/guardians to come by the office to pick up the prizes. When you are ready to learn, you make clear, rational decisions that are based on facts and evidence. You use research to make informed statements and you are open-minded to different views than your own. You are able to see the pros and cons of a situation and make an informed decisions. Big picture

Teacher/Staff Member of the Month:

Mrs. Bray is our Teacher of the Month for December. Mrs. Bray has been teaching for 9 years, and this is her 2nd year here at LSRO. She has taught Pre-K through high school and is currently one of our wonderful 3rd grade teachers. She is a busy mom of three girls, who keep her moving at all their extracurricular and sporting activities. She enjoys traveling, reading, and arts and crafts. She became a grandma when her stepson had a baby boy in November. She has spent the past 16 years living the country life in Maypearl, raising many different kinds of animals. We are so thankful for the love, dedication, and leadership Mrs. Bray shows each day!

This months staff member of the month is Instructional Aide, Lola Forman. Mrs. Forman is new to Life School Red Oak and has added so much positivity to our team. She came to us from Waxahachie ISD with several years of instructional support experience.

Lola and her husband have a beautiful daughter and have an amazing young son, both of which attend Life Schools. In her free time you can always find her with a coffee in her hand and helping others. She truly has a servants heart!
