Innovation Lab Needs:
-Duct Tape - both solid colors and patterns (we need a lot)
-Large Popsicle Sticks (Tongue Depressor Size)
-Clorox Wipes
This week in Art:
This week, in the art studio, 2nd grade through 5th grade continue to work on their project "Who Am I?" We are using a variety of drawing materials and exploring how to build an interesting composition. The kindergarteners and 1st graders are continuing to learn about self portraits. We are learning about symmetry and facial proportions.
We are encouraging students to participate in the PTA reflection program. This program encourages all students to explore the arts. For more information please go to https://www.txpta.org/reflections. If students have limited time at home to complete their artwork, I will be giving students an opportunity to work in the Art Studio. The deadline to enter is October 29th. Let your creativity shine!
This week in Performing Arts:
This week in the Library:
3rd-5th grade students were so excited to hear about the Texas Bluebonnet Books, that we need one more day to actually do our official Book Tasting Event! After they rotate between 4 tables, getting a "taste" of 5 different Texas Bluebonnet books, they will choose their 5 books to start reading.
Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders were also excited to meet the 20 books in this year's Texas 2x2 list. They will finish predicting which book will win Round #1 in our Battle of the Texas 2x2 books. Then, we will get to read our first book in this year's Battle of the Texas 2x2 books!
