Honor the Castle Theme for October - "Celebrating Successes"
Our October’s Honor the Castle theme is celebrating successes and achievement. This week’s Mindset Monday for the week of 10-19-2020 quote reminds us that -“Celebrations are the footprints of achievements”. Take time Knights to reflect on your efforts and be proud of what you have accomplished... and how those efforts have prepared you for the next goal or task.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
With September behind us, it is now time to turn our attention to our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences. Our teachers will meet virtually with our parents who schedule a time to conference between 1:00pm - 4:00pm and 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Thursday, October 22nd. Conferences are an important part of our partnership to make sure students are meeting our shared expectations.
This year, we are piloting a web-based program called Conference Manager which will allow you to check our teachers' conference schedules and book appointments online. You will login to your Parent PowerSchool account to access the Conference Manager: https://fraser.schoolsoft.com
CLICK HERE to view the instructions to schedule your conferences.
Signups are open now and closes at 8am on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
If you are unable to book your own appointment using this system, please contact us at (586) 439-7400 and an RMS staff member will assist you. If you have already scheduled conferences that you no longer feel are necessary, please log back into your PowerSchool account to cancel using the Conference Manager.
Tips for Parent/Teacher Conferences
- If you have no concerns with your child’s progress in a class, you do not have to schedule a conference with that teacher. As always, you can contact teachers any time you have a question or concern.
- The conference time limit is five minutes, and teachers must remain on schedule.
- Come to your conference prepared with talking points and/or questions to best utilize the time you have.
- We recommend against signing up for consecutive sessions; Give yourself at least five minutes between conferences.
- If you miss your conference time, please email the teacher to arrange for a follow up conversation.
- If you have already scheduled conferences that you no longer feel are necessary, please log back into your account to cancel.
If you have technology questions, Blackboard navigation questions, assignment submission questions, etc., you can connect with Mrs. Wetzel or Mrs. Murray at any time during the six hour conference window using the GoToMeeting links provided below:
