9th Annual Justin Spring Invitational - December 12-13, 2015
What is JSI?
Some interesting facts about last year's event:
- 1,000+ gymnasts competed
- 40 gyms were represented
- the gymnasts came from 5 different states
- approx. 750 meals were provided for coaches, judges & volunteers
- approx. 2,000 awards were presented to the athletes
- approx. 150 volunteers worked at the event
This exciting event is a big deal for CGA and the entire Champaign-Urbana community! So, make sure to mark your calendars now and be there to cheer on our CGA Pumas as they compete.
We will also need lots of help planning and volunteering the weekend of the event. Stay tuned for regular updates about how to get involved!
Who is Justin Spring?
Justin Spring has been the University of Illinois head men's gymnastics coach since 2010. Spring is a highly-decorated gymnast whose illustrious career includes leading the U.S. team to a bronze medal finish at the 2008 Olympics! Spring attended the University of Illinois where he was a four-time NCAA Champion and also earned many accolades in the Big Ten as well as both national and world recognition.
Spring enjoys encouraging young gymnasts in the sport, and spends much of his time at the JSI meeting and motivating the athletes.

JSI Volunteer T-Shirts -- By November 18th
Attention all CGA Team Parents and other volunteers: Everyone who helps at the JSI is provided a JSI T-Shirt to wear while they are volunteering. If you have your shirt from last year (black with orange -- pictured at the right) that will work just fine.
**If you need a t-shirt, we will need to know how many to order and what sizes.
Please take a moment to fill out the electronic form below BY NOVEMBER 18 so we can submit the t-shirt order and receive it by JSI.
