Health and Safety
COVID Activity Index Level (CALI) - As of 12/20/2021 the district received notification that our region’s CALI score transitioned to Very High (RED). As of 12/30/2021, the CDC has updated it's guidelines to reflect recommendations for "Very High" COVID-19 Levels. Please click here to view those guidelines.
Close Contact / Quarantine: All current close contact cases may now follow an exclusion period of 10 days (or 7 days with a negative PCR test result collected between the 5th and 7th day). The Washington Township Schools will move to following these procedures effective immediately. Please consult the CDC Guidelines for additional information (updated 12/15/2021). Be aware, as per Dr. Turnamian's Community Update (12/31/2021) the CDC has not yet applied the recently revised isolation and quarantine timeframes for the general population to K-12 schools. Therefore, the Washington Township Schools will continue to follow the aforementioned exclusion period.
Please see Dr. Turnamian's 12/31/2021 Community Update for detailed information on the Updated CDC Guidelines and WTS plans for the future.
Please consult our NJDOH COVID-19 Resources as needed
Any health questions or concerns should be directed to our school nurses, kpinto@wtschools.org and ahade@wtschools.org.
