Summary
For my IR Book Project I picked the book S.O.S Titanic. The book is based on a 15 year old boy named Barry. Barry is leaving Ireland to go to New York. The characters in the book are his Barry, Grandparents, Flynn, Pegeen. One of the most important events in the book is when the Titanic hits the Iceberg. He is taking the Titanic to New York in a fancy cabin on the Titanic. Little does Barry know what awaits him when he boards the Titanic.
Theme
The theme of the story is to always make good choices, and never do something your going to regret in the future.
Dialogue
Barry provides a lot of dialogue in the story! The dialogue in the story has amazing word choice. There author knew when to continue or stop with the dialogue.
Figurative Language
Personification: Mrs. Adair was smiling . She looked almost happy. Her smile wavered when she saw Barry.
Sensory Language: As Barry entered the cabin, he felt a strong breeze go down his shirt!
