Food is essential for survival. It is needed to provide energy, protect against diseases, and heal the human body. In the wilderness, it can be very difficult to obtain and secure food. If you follow these steps, you will be on your way to a smorgasbord of food.
Take Advantage of the Plants in the Area
Though fish and meat seem like the best option, plants provide necessary carbohydrates and are easy to find. Be careful! If you aren't 100% sure that the food is safe to eat, don't eat it. Edible plants are usually found throughout the year, unless you are in a desert.

The first place you'd look would be bird nests, but not all birds build nests. Some birds keep their eggs in holes in the ground. Be sure there are no birds watching over the eggs or they will become defensive and attack you. If there are no bird nearby, take the eggs.
