Blaze Bulletin
Edition 1 - Week of August 21
Greetings...
Dear teachers, counselors, and staff,
Thank you for your work this first full week of school! The success of our students is so connected to how the beginning of the school year goes, and you have done an amazing job! I recognize and appreciate the extra work and time you've put in.
I have gotten very interesting comments on Connect & Impact (C&I), and I wanted to share with you just a few of the comments: "I know more names this year than ever." "I wish we had done this all four years." "I feel a connection to people." These are the types of connections we hope will make a huge impact on our kids. As we start to use the C&I time next week for intervention and enrichment, please continue to engage with your C&I kids as frequently as you can. The C&I lesson database is kept by our librarians, and please remember to send your PLC's lesson soon for all to share.
The lesson on the ideals/traits that make successful BHS students and citizens yielded some very good conversation. I love what the students added! The picture below is a wordle of the results.
So blessed to be a Blaze!

Total Solar Eclipse - School closed August 21
Anyone within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights - a total solar eclipse. This path, where the moon will completely cover the sun and the sun's tenuous atmosphere - the corona can be seen, will stretch from Lincoln Beach, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina. Observers outside this path will still see a partial solar eclipse where the moon covers part of the sun's disk.
A great big thank you!!!!
Our sweet cafeteria purchased 2500 moon pies to give to students!
