We need volunteers to help students shop, check out with their purchases, and set up/take down the book fair.

DONUTS WITH GROWN UPS: FRIDAY 3/31 8:30-10:00 AM

Donuts will be available to students who bring a grown up to shop with them at the book fair! Our morning event will be open from 8:30-10:00 AM. Students who are still shopping after the bell rings at 9:15 AM will not be counted tardy to class. Oakridge is growing & our parking is limited, so we encourage adults who have a more flexible schedule to come later in the morning to allow for those who may have limited time before work to shop with their student.

OU's The Big Event - Community Service Day at Oakridge 4/1/23

OU hosts a Community Service day they call The Big Event. This year a group of OU students will be at Oakridge on 4/1/23 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM to help clean out closets, move the STEAM room furniture & equipment, and other general beautification projects around the school. Oakridge families are encouraged to come help! You don't have to stay for the whole day; any time you can donate would be appreciated!

*Any students who attend must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.

*Thursday Folders: We meet every Wednesday morning at 9:15 AM in the cafeteria to assemble information packets for Thursday folders. Anyone can join us to help!

*OU Day at Oakridge: Students from OU will be at Oakridge on Saturday, April 1st from 10-2 to help clean out closets & move STEAM room equipment to the new room. Any volunteers are welcome to come help!

Ms. Sweeney's Step Challenge - Donations Needed!

Ms. Sweeney is hosting a Step Challenge for the Oakridge staff during the month of April again this year. Any staff member who chooses to participate will compete against all others participating to get the most steps each day, with an overall winner at the end of the month.

She is reaching out to seek prize donations from anyone in our community who would like to make a prize donation, gift card or any other type of donation that would be used as motivation throughout the month. If you have a small business & would like to donate, we would love to advertise your business in our community! Contact Ms Sweeney with donation ideas or questions: challiesweeney@mooreschools.com

Canvas for Parents

Canvas is the Learning Management System used by PreK-12th grade teachers and students. It serves as a platform where teachers can post assignments, create discussion boards, and upload content like PowerPoints and instructional videos. For students, Canvas creates a one stop shop to see assignment details, due dates, and learning resources for all their courses. At teachers' discretion, students are also able to submit assignments through Canvas.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS:

Using a web browser or a mobile app, parents can create observer accounts to view assignment details, due dates, and course materials. Infinite Campus is still the official platform for course grades and student attendance. To view students' courses, parents need a pairing code. Students can generate a pairing code for their parents by signing into Canvas and going to "Account" in the upper left hand corner, then to "Settings" where there will be an option on the right side of the screen to "Pair with Observer".
