Important Technology/Eduphoria/Edugence Information
At the end of May, we will no longer have access to Eduphoria. Eduphoria houses teachers’ Professional Development records that they have accrued from Northwest ISD along with lesson plans for those that used it for that. Before Eduphoria goes away, teachers need to download their PD transcript and lesson plans and save them for their records.
Jason Sanders created a video to show teachers how to download and save both PD records and lesson plans.
Teachers may wish to also save these records in their Edugence Profile. This is easy to do:
1. Log into Edugence
2. Click on My Profile on the left column
3. In My Profile, click on documents
4. Click on paperclip and upload records
Here is additional information that Cara Carter sent out last week. It includes the Eduphoria information as well as some other reminders.
- School Website Directory - Since the school website pages are no longer required, it is essential to have updated, professional directory information. New guidelines can be found here! For the website link, secondary teachers are required to link their Moodle pages. This video will help show you how to update the webpage in the directory, and explain how to link to multiple Moodle pages in the directory. If you choose to delete your School Messenger page since it is no longer required, please complete this form and Melissa Shawn will delete the page.
- Closing Eduphoria - As we have transitioned to Edugence for professional learning and data, Eduphoria will no longer be accessible starting June 1. Since each Texas Educator is required to keep their own proof of professional learning hours, you will all want to save a copy of your Professional Development Portfolio. Also, if you have lesson plans in Eduphoria, you may want to keep a copy of those as well. Here is a video that shows you how to do both.
- Classroom Phones - Do not move or unplug your phones because their location has been recorded for 911 emergency.
- Leaving District - If you are leaving the district, all technology devices need to be turned into your campus technician. (Technicians can provide you with a list of issued devices. If you are transferring to another teacher position at a different campus, the devices go with you.)
- Chromebook Keys - Lock your Chromebook cabinets and leave Chromebook tower keys with room keys. (Elementary only)
Be Sure to Register for Engage - It You Do NOt register in edugence, you will not have a seat in the training.

Engage
The best place to get information is on the Engage Website! It has links to everything anyone will need to know, so that is always the best place to start.
· An Important point to remember – Teachers must register for sessions for Engage in Edugence. The courses are there now. The easiest way to find the sessions you are interested in is to use the Calendar Search feature. (That is different than My Calendar).
· Professional Learning Survey – You and your teachers did a great job giving us feedback on the survey. The information regarding the survey is linked here. We also then made sure we had sessions that supported the requests and needs of the teachers.
· We also created an Engage Course Guide for those that like to look at it that way.
