- Rape does not always discriminate between genders! Anyone can be a victim of rape.
- Second degree rape is defined as "Vaginal intercourse by force and without consent." Any form of intoxication or marriage is not a viable excuse. First degree is the same as second but it involves one, two, or all of the following: use of a weapon, inflicting serious injury, or being aided by others.
- Sexual assault is any sexual act done without consent and differs from sexual abuse which is when an adult or older child forces/bribes a child into sexual activity.
