We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Reminder Spring Break runs March 24 to April 2. Monday is Instructional day #31 of 86, as such we are now 36% of the way through semester 2 for non-diploma courses. Students are required to check in and meet with their instructor(s) weekly. It is recommended that multiple check ins occur each week to ensure successful completion of academic course work. EIPS Parent & Caregiver Survey Closes March 23

Make sure to complete the 2023 EIPS Annual Feedback Survey: For parents and caregivers—open from March 1-23. EIPS conducts the feedback survey to gauge its progress toward meeting the goals and priorities outlined in its Four-Year Education Plan. Families are asked a series of questions about their experiences with EIPS and Next Step, the overall performance of the Division, the quality of education being provided to students and areas for improvement. RCMP's Troop 17 Scholarship

Recognize students who have made significant efforts toward the prevention of bullying and harassment in their schools and/or communities. Deadline for applications is March 31

Summer School Registration

Registration for EIPS Summer School opens March 15. The Summer School program offers a number of senior high courses that allow students to earn credits, upgrade marks, lighten workloads for the year ahead or finish pre-requisite courses. The Moose Hide Campaign

The Moose Hide Campaign began as a BC-born Indigenous-led grassroots movement to engage men and boys in ending violence towards women and children.

Headstrong GSA Mental Health Conference

The Alberta GSA Conference is hosting the Headstrong GSA Mental Health Conference on Saturday, April 22 in Edmonton. It will include mental health keynote speeches, a concert, physical wellness activities, and breakout activities. Conference is free to attend and deadline to register is March 22. Nominations for the Strathcona County Awards of Excellence are open now! These awards recognize residents of the county for their outstanding contributions and achievements. The deadline to submit nominations is March 27. Awards of Excellence Website

Registered Apprenticeship Information evening April 12

Career Pathways will be hosting an in person Registered Apprenticeship Information evening on Wednesday April 12 at Ardrossan Junior Senior High. Career pathways and Careers Next Generation will provide a brief presentation (approx. 20 minutes) and will be available for the remainder to answer questions. April 12 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Ardrossan Theatre

Grad 2023 Information

Next Step Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 9 at the Shell Theatre, (DOW Centre) Fort Saskatchewan. Tickets will be available at no cost to families. Each graduate will be able to receive up to 8 tickets. Students will receive their graduation gown, cap, tassel and stole prior to the graduation ceremony. Students keep their cap, tassel and stole. There is no cost to students for taking Grad portraits. Photos are booked for Sherwood Park March 20-21 contact Aley.Kulbaba@eips.ca
