All For Books
The All for Books program:
• Provides books to children who otherwise could not afford them.
• Gives kids access to books they want to read through classroom libraries.
• Cultivates in children a love of reading and a love of helping others.
• Reinforces that literacy is a priority for schools, families, and communities.
How it works:
• The students have selected Superintendent Ben Small to be the one to have to perform something silly. Now during the book fair, shoppers will have a chance to vote for which silly activity they want him to do by putting money in a jar. The activity with the most money at the end of the fair is the one Mr. Small will perform.
• Use the money raised from these activities to buy books from your Book Fair.
• Then, donate those books to your school library, classrooms, or students who can’t afford them. Or, choose a local non-profit to receive them.
Participate in the All for Books program and instill in your children the love of reading and the importance of helping those in need.
Special Events
Family Fun Night
Dear Parents and Families:
Reading is the most important skill you can teach a child. Of all the skills children learn, it is the one you can influence the most. Giving kids access to good books and the opportunity to choose books will motivate them to read more. And like most acquired skills, the more kids practice reading, the better they’ll get.
We invite you to visit our Scholastic Book Fair and experience a celebration of reading that provides families the opportunity to get involved in a universal mission: encouraging kids to read every day so they can lead better lives.
Reading is vital to every child’s success, and raising kids as readers means getting involved while they’re young. Now is the time. Since there will never be a substitute for a parent’s direct involvement in his/her child’s education, please make plans to visit our Book Fair.
Book Fair Dates: November 2nd - 6th
Shopping Hours: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm except Thursday (10:00 am - 3:30 pm)
We would especially love to see you on November 3rd, 2015 when our school hosts Family Fun Night from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Stop by the book fair during family fun night. We will have a bookmark making station, DIY selfie station with fun monster props, student book talks and other fun contests.
We look forward to having you participate in our Fair, and remember, all purchases benefit our school.

GRAND Breakfast
Dear Parents and Families:
Grandparents and other loved ones are very important in children’s lives, and we are celebrating a day just for them. Our school’s Grand Event recognizes the important role this audience can play in a child’s education. Because learning to read is the most important skill a child can learn, we’ve scheduled a special time for grandparents and other loved ones to celebrate reading during our Scholastic Book Fair.
Book Fairs have always been about families and reading. We ask you to invite grands or other loved ones to visit our Scholastic Book Fair and experience a celebration of reading that provides an opportunity for them to get involved in a universal mission: encouraging kids to read every day so they can lead better lives.
Reading is vital to every child’s success, and raising kids as readers means getting involved while they’re young. Now is the time. Giving kids access to good books and the opportunity to choose their own books will motivate them to read more. And like most acquired skills, the more kids practice reading, the better they’ll get.
We hope your child’s grands will visit our school, find out what your grand student is learning, and celebrate with us.
Grand Event Date: November 6th, 2015
Grand Event Time: 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Location: Start in the gym and finish in the library.
