It is my great pleasure to continue to serve this wonderful community as the new principal Austin Elementary. I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead such a dedicated and hardworking team of educators and to serve the needs of our amazing students.

As we embark on this new journey together, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work that has been done by my predecessor, Dr. Serena Pierson, and the many teachers and staff who have helped to make this school a thriving and vibrant community. It is with great sadness, and great pride, we say "goodbye" to Dr. Pierson as she moves on to be Principal at Grangerland Intermediate next year. Over the last decade, she has guided Austin Elementary through many changes (and the pandemic!) to become a campus where students and staff alike take pride in our hard work and successes! Her cheerful, energetic, smile as she danced down the hallways will be missed.

I am excited to continue these efforts and to work collaboratively with all of you to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education possible.

My vision for this school is simple: to maintain our safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We will continue working to foster a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusion, where every student feels valued and supported.

We will continue to focus on providing rigorous and engaging instruction that is tailored to the needs of each individual student. We will work to create opportunities for students to develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills, and to encourage them to explore their interests and passions.

I also believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to the success of our students. I look forward to working with parents and guardians to create a collaborative relationship that supports the growth and development of our students.

I am thrilled to to continue my work at Austin Elementary, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you as we work together to create a bright future for our students.

The Conroe Independent School District will be sponsoring a summer feeding program for children in our community in an effort to reduce the number of children that go hungry during the summer months.

We will be feeding children, ages 18 and under, free breakfast and lunch meals on the dates below, excluding weekends and holidays, which are Monday, June 19, 2023, and Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
