Report Cards
Report cards available online only!
Due to the temporary closure of schools, student report cards will be available online via the Home Access Center (HAC) on Friday, April 3, 2020. This includes all grades, PK, Kinder through 5th grade.
Please see the Home Access Center FAQ link below for information about HAC.
If you have any technology related questions, do not hesitate to contact the Parent and Student Technology Support Center.
Counselor's Corner
Hello Parents and Students,
We know how difficult and uncertain these times are right now. Please know that as a counseling team we are here to assist you as best as we can. While we may not have all the answers, we will always do our best to help.
Katy ISD and Diane Winborn Elementary are dedicated to making the best decisions for our students, families and staff. As decisions are made, they will be communicated with parents and students. Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate how to best serve our students and families, together. We hope you all are staying healthy and safe.
Counselors are available from Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Counselors are working together to develop optional Social-Emotional Learning lessons and activities to share with parents and students. These will be available soon for your child’s use. Lessons will focus on tools and techniques that will be helpful to your child while learning at home.
COVID-19 UPDATES AND ONLINE LEARNING
· Katy ISD is working hard to keep everyone informed by providing updated information and resources. The most up to date information is available at www.katyisd.org and under the COVID-19 Update.
· If you need technology support including but not limited to information on logins and Canvas, you can find many answers to your questions by clicking this link - Home. At the bottom, there is an option for tech assistance, by completing the Parent Tech Help form. If you require additional assistance, please reach out to ensure the transition to virtual learning is a smooth one.
MENTAL HEALTH/STUDENT SUPPORT/SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL WELLNESS
· Please know that we are here to support the emotional and mental health of our students. Students and parents can request to speak with a counselor. Attention 5th Graders Headed to MRJH Next Year!
Hello Maverick Parents and Students!!!
Parents/guardians currently have the opportunity to review their student’s course selections for the 2020-2021 school year online using their Home Access Center account. Access will be available from 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 1 until Thursday, April 9 at 4:00 PM. Please review the attached instructions on how to log in to the Home Access Center, and where to find your student’s current list of course requests for the 2020-2021 school year. If you have any questions please email your grade level counselor.
Incoming 6th grade students:
Please check for 6 classes. Each student should have an Eng/Read Block, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE, and one elective. If any classes are missing, write them in and include the level (academic or KAP) if necessary.
Incoming 7th grade students:
Please check for 6 classes. Each student should have Eng/Read Block, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE, and one elective. If any classes are missing, write them in and include the level (Academic or KAP).
*(If GT in ELA, student will have 2 electives and no reading class)
Incoming 8th grade students:
Please check for 7 classes. Students should have English, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE, & 2 electives. If any classes are missing, write them in & include the level (academic or KAP).
