The College Access Team would like to thank you for your dedication to student success. As we move into the second half of the academic year, we would like to remind everyone that participation in both the CVTE Implementation Committee and the Bristol CVTE Advisory Board is encouraged to facilitate our programming under the Perkins IV grant. We recognize that COVID-19 has impacted the way we gather for our meetings however, as we begin to transition into the next iteration of work life, we would like to formalize our meetings to ensure that we are remaining compliant with the conditions of the Perkins IV grant. In addition, Bristol is dedicated to strengthening our partnership with each of your districts, and your participation in these meetings allow us to learn about the needs of your students as well as, guides us in the programming and pathways we are able to develop for your student's benefit.

Attached below, is a schedule for the remaining meeting of this academic year. As a kind reminder, the CVTE Implementation Meeting is intended for Directors/Coordinators of CVTE Programs and the respective Guidance Counselors and, the Bristol Advisory Board is intended for the District/School Superintendents and Bristol Leadership. In the event that you are unable to attend a meeting, we ask that you have a representative of your district/school join in your absence. The CVTE Implementation Committee will be resuming "in-person" meetings in the Spring. The following schools volunteered to host our meetings. Please keep in mind that RSVPs will be required for ALL Spring meetings, as the hosting schools will need to plan for the meeting based on participant headcount. Learn from some of our current Bristol STEM students, Bristol alumni and industry partners, about the barriers they have had to overcome and what keeps them motivated in continuing their STEM journeys. Bristol Women in STEM Panel

Throughout the next few weeks, the Superintendent of your school or district will begin receiving DocuSign requests to renew Bristol's CVTE Articulations for your school.

There have been a few significant changes to the CVTE Articulation process, and I've highlighted the most important of those changes below.

• The format of the Articulation has been streamlined to clarify the terms of the agreement between the two institutions to include a Purpose, Guiding Principles, General Requirements and Ongoing Collaboration.
• The timeframe for the renewal has been removed with the caveat that a new agreement would be required in the event there is a significant curriculum change in either the secondary partner's Chapter 74 program or Bristol's program.

These changes are intended to streamline the articulation process as well as, improve transparency of information across both institutions. Your students are eligible to receive CARES ACT money as a student of Bristol Community College. Please encourage your students to check their personal and Bristol email throughout the next couple weeks for the invitation to apply for the distribution. If your student has any questions regarding eligibility, please refer them to either the College Access Advisor, Kimberly Griffith at Kimberly.Griffith@Bristolcc.edu or the CVTE Academic Coordinator, Nikita Viera at Nikita.Viera@bristolcc.edu for more information. The application closes on March 25th for this cycle of distributions.
