Hawk Happenings!
Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy
Message from the Principal - Oct. 10, 2018
Happy Wednesday!
I hope you have noticed all of the wonderful changes happening at our campus lately. In addition to the new playground equipment and the restoration of the basketball hoops, one of our amazing families donated a Gagaball pit. They purchased the structure and Gray Lumber donated the wood for the frame. Then, this weekend (in the rain) several families came out and put everything together. It looks fantastic and the kids are having a blast...even though they haven’t all determined the rules yet. Beyond that, we had a large group of people out to install irrigation for the field and it was hydroseeded this morning (thanks to the Depave grant). The irrigation was done by a professional group and the services were procured by another of our families. The company got all of the equipment donated from their vendor so the cost was greatly reduced to us! As I look around both inside the building and outside on the campus, I am reminded of how much our school relies on the generosity of each and every member of our community. Thank you for the time you give, as well as the donations that allow us to grow our program. We greatly appreciate it!!
In this week's mailer, you will find a very special envelope. It is the launch of our Annual Fund. It features a special story about the Peterson and Lorella-Kuzu families, as well as pictures of some of our beautiful children. Please take time to look through the information and determine at what level you can support this campaign, which is vital to the annual budget of our school. Again, thank you for your support of Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy!
Have a wonderful week and don’t forget that there is NO SCHOOL on Friday due to a staff retreat for the entire Seattle Archdiocese. We will see everyone back, with spiritually refreshed souls, on Monday!
Blessings,
Katie Dempsey
