NEWS FROM THE HEADS
Teachers always get extended Christmas celebrations... even before they get the chance to begin thinking about their own family events. For the last two weeks they have been asking their tutor groups to bring in gifts for local families who are in less fortunate circumstances, and we have been absolutely blown away by your generosity. The Salvation Army arrived at 11.00am this morning and took away boxes and boxes of gifts - thank you so much, you will be making a huge difference to so many families.

Another term passes by, and wow what a busy term it has been. (I know I say it every term…!) The girls have achieved so much in the classroom and experienced so much outside of the classroom, including: ISA Swimming, Young Voices at the Royal Albert Hall, Christmas Tree Decorating at St Luke's, Hampton Court, Living Rainforest, Stubbings Memorial, residential trips to Marchant’s Hill & Osmington Bay, Netball Tour to Newquay, Pantomime at the Theatre Royal, Maidenhead and Me Art Competition, Christmas Productions, and not to mention numerous netball and hockey matches.

Reminders
Monday 12th December - The Nursery Christmas entertainment morning to which all Nursery children are invited to attend even if they do not usually come on a Monday. The children may wear party clothes for the occasion. The PTA is very kindly funding a children’s entertainer called Jay.

If you are collecting from CCJB first then your daughter will be supervised until 12.30pm
There is no After School Care available except for Nursery children who finish at 3.30pm
START OF NEW TERM - Wednesday 4 January 2017
There will be no activities or study during the first week back Wednesday 4 January - Friday 6 January 2017 and early buses are in operation. After School Care will be available.
Copas Turkey Offer
Order online using code ‘CCS16’ to earn the School PTA £5. Anyone collecting their turkeys that they ordered on this offer will be able to go and say hello to a couple of Santa’s helpers and have their picture taken too. As well as meeting the reindeer there will be many other treats including wine tasting, cooking and carving demonstrations, a choir and Father Christmas himself.
CHRISTMAS PRODUCTIONS
Last day for sending in your order form for the Nursery and Junior Girls Christmas productions is Wednesday 14 December. Don't forget - a great keepsake for you and your child.

Lent Term Activities Programme
The Activities Hub is now open for registrations for Lent Term activities -http://activities.clairescourt.net
Students and parents should be accessing this site to sign up for the next terms activities by Wednesday 14 December - confirmation of choices will be emailed before the start of term.
Clothing Donation Request
This year, we welcome donations of clean clothing, which are to be used locally within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to support those who are sleeping rough or are homeless. Please drop bags of any clothing you wish to donate to one of the 3 school offices. Many thanks for your generosity.
Tetanus, Diphtheria & Meningitis Vaccinations - Wednesday 11 January 2017
The vaccination letters have gone out to G9-G11 please could you return your response before the end of term.
Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Award
For those who wish to start their DofE journey a letter has been emailed to all Year 10 students and is also available to view at www.outdooreducation.clairescourt.net/home/dofe along with more information about the award.
Spaces are limited and replies are required by 14 December, please note that this is separate to the evening activity sign-up.

Nursery, Girls & Sixth Form
If your daughter/son is unwell please telephone the School Office on 01628 411480 by 9.30am on each day of the sickness (you can leave a voicemail message if 'out of hours' and this will be picked up) and then follow up with a letter as they return to school. For medical appointments please send a note into the class teacher prior to appointment where possible notwithstanding emergencies then a telephone call will suffice. Thank you for your co-operation - it does save us a lot of time chasing up absences.
PLEASE NOTE: The registrar's’ number as listed on the website should only be used for admissions/ moving up enquiries.
