CHILD DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

This training will explore child development theory as well as the developmental markers of children aged birth to five years. Our guest presenter, Brenda Bush, will help educators understand the typical sequences of child development and strategies for teaching learners at various developmentals stages in all domain areas.

SBIEP: EVALUATION PERSONNEL

The focus of this session is to learn about the Standards-Based IEP Process, including the full and individual evaluation (FIE), present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP) development, and writing goals and objectives. The audience for this training is special education evaluation personnel and others who are responsible for evaluating a student and writing the report.

ADOS-2 WORKSHOP

In this two-day session, participants will learn about the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). Register here to explore the various aspects of this semi-structured, standardized assessment instrument.

Foundations for Literacy: A Reading and Language Curriculum for Young Children Who Are Deaf/HH is a language-and experience-based literacy curriculum that has been researched and developed for young students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing.

APRAXIA KIDS NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The 2022 Apraxia Kids National Conference will be July 7-9, 2022, in Las Vegas. Virtual and in-person registration is available. Topics include, but are not limited to, evidence-based assessment and treatment of CAS across all ages, social aspects, education and academic challenges, co-occurring disorders, and advanced topics.

TWU SLP GRAD. PROGRAM INFO. MEETING

The Texas Women's University Speech-Language Pathology Master's Degree Distance Venue Program will offer a 12th cycle of the program. Because of the unique nature of this program, interested applicants must attend one of the program information meetings before applying. The last meeting is scheduled for April 25. Register here:
