Health and Wellness: Week 7
This week we continue looking at the benefits of healthy eating and how food impacts our mood. I found more activities for your entire family , however it does take some effort and could become quite messy!
The sun is shining and the weather is getting warmer which means summer is almost here. It may not be what we imagined for the spring term but you have all worked hard and should give yourselves a round of applause! We are in the home stretch, so find that motivation to finish strong!!
Stay healthy and stay safe!

Activities
Who remembers Miss Mary Mack?! This may take some convincing with your children but give hand clapping games a try. I found some interesting ideas to get your teens involved in some family fun, however it could get a little messy.
Bubble Gum Challenge
In this challenge each person takes a turn blowing a bubble to see who can blow the biggest bubble. Make sure to get the good kind of bubble gum and to get more participation get everyone their favorite kind of bubble gum!
What am I eating?
This challenge requires one person to buy different jars of baby food and remove the labels so participants can not see what type of food it is. Each person tries a spoonful of baby food and takes a guess as to what they are eating. If you want to raise the stakes in this game you could always purchase some not so appetizing flavor combinations!
Should you eat it or wear it?
In this challenge you will need a package of brown bags, small pieces of paper, a pen and foods that most people are not thrilled about. For example, throw some lima beans in a bag or some anchovies, or to make it even more interesting a bologna and jelly sandwich! Label the bags with numbers and write the numbers on the small pieces of paper. Each participant will draw a number that corresponds with a bag , and they have to decide to eat it or wear it!
What's Cooking !?
Nutrition and Mental Health
This week we browse through an assortment of healthy snacks for morning/afternoon and delicious smoothies to keep you fueled up! The make ahead freezer smoothie bags are my favorite go to for the summer because they can be used for breakfast or as a refreshing afternoon snack.
