Sound Communication

Definition:

Sound Communication is main way animals communicate. They emit sounds to tell other organisms things, or warn them of possible threats. Another way they use sound to communicate is when young are hungry. Like humans, other animals in the wild will cry out to their mothers when they are hungry.

Bottlenose Dolphin

This animal uses various ways to communicate using sound. Some scientists even think that dolphins may have a language like humans do. They make clicking sounds to communicate to other dolphins. They also use these clicking sounds to find food using echolocation.
