At a Glance

We had a great time on our field trip at Sesquicentennial Park. We enjoyed hiking through the woods and crossing bridges. We used our five senses to explore the park. The children put a “magic smelling potion”, better known as water, on their noses to increase their sense of smell. Using pipe cleaners as antennae or whiskers, they felt their way down the path as an animal or insect would. In a sound circle, we listened for animals and other sounds we could not see at close range. The children also went on a nature hike with Mme Bermas. We saw ducks, butterflies, dragonflies, a large turtle, lily pads, tadpoles, tiny frogs, and 39 geese. The children explored all day and we are sure they went home very tired!

End of the Year Party

Our end of the year class party is June 1st at 8:50 am. Please keep this date available, as we will need many parents to assist with games and groups of children. You should have received a link to Volunteerspot to sign up to volunteer. In order for you to focus on our kindergarten children, please do not bring siblings.

Due to 5th grade promotion, Mrs. Fickling has asked that kindergarten parents not come to school until 8:45 am on the day of the party.

Please send your child with their backpack and yellow folder everyday next week and we are still learning and teaching and sending home work.
