A Note from Mrs. Craighead...
Happy October Draper Families!
It is hard to believe we have completed 6 weeks of the 2020-21 school year already. We have enjoyed every minute of every day getting to know your children and working to meet their needs academically, socially and behaviorally. You have fantastic kiddos!
All students have been assessed with the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) in September. Students in 5th grade were assessed in math, reading and science. Students in 6th grade were assessed in math and reading. MAP Is an assessment that is given at the beginning, middle and end of the year to students to measure growth in the respective areas and let us know what they are ready to learn. In the next couple of weeks we will send individual growth and progress charts home. If you wish to visit with any of your child's teachers please let them know or call the front office to schedule a parent conference. (972-429-3350)
As always, if we can help in any way please don’t hesitate to contact us here at Draper Intermediate. Have a wonderful week!

Book Fair, Book Fair, Book Fair...
Our Fall Book Fair will be held Oct. 19-23! On Campus students will have the opportunity to shop in person throughout the week, though we will be unable to have a parent night during this fair. We encourage parents to use Scholastic’s eWallet cashless system for students purchasing items from the fair but cash will also be accepted. Even though Remote students will not be able to shop the book fair in person, they can shop online and your books will be shipped to your home. On Campus students may shop online as well if they choose. All purchases benefit our school library!
