Building a Foundation in Long Distance Learning
Whew! Another busy week of phone calls, emails, text messages, addressing parent concerns, technology questions, teaching students, creating engaging ways to interact virtually with students, planning lessons, collaborating on new ideas, skills, technology....the list goes on and on.
Now, as we move forward, we are starting to see the foundation being put in place and education changing before our very eyes. We are going to be the pioneers in this movement. Some day new teachers will be learning about how the educational system shifted overnight.
I'm so proud of the work we are doing together as a team. Our own foundational skills in working together as PLCs, collaboration and calibration are all at work as we plan, create and connect with our students and parents.
Now that most of our students have their devices I hope that you all have a productive week connecting with students. Janet, Melissa and myself are here to support you. Please let us know if you need help.
Have a great week. Here is a little humor with some honest tweets from parents on long-distance learning.
