During the months of January and February, there is open enrollment at all schools throughout the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District. Families are welcome to visit all schools throughout the district and Monte Vista welcomes all students, TK through 5th grade to join our Monte Vista where students thrive and reach their potential with the care and support of outstanding teachers and staff. Monte Vista Elementary School is offering tours on the following dates listed below.

Site Council

Our site council has reviewed the Single Plan for Student Achievement as well as the Safety Plan and approved both. They will be presented to the school board in January.

Parent Teacher Association

• The Education Foundation of Cotati Rohnert Park will have its annual event in April. They ask PTA’s to donate a basket for their silent auction. A couple of our volunteers will be putting together a ‘Swing Into Spring’ themed basket if you have anything you’d like to contribute.
• PTA will be hosting a Safari Encounters assembly for the students in March.
• We had a long discussion about different ways to spend PTA funds that directly helps students and teachers. Some ideas were alternative seating for students and new library books. We thought about having a book drive would be a good start to stock the library with some new books.
• There will be another spirit wear sale in January.
