D.C. Cannon Elementary School
D.C. Cannon Elementary School Employee of the Month
Our employee of the month has been a real asset to our ACE program. She has worked behind the scenes for the first half of our school year. She has greeted parents daily with a smile and takes care of any situations that arise throughout the programming time. We have moved her into a classroom to work with the 1st and 2nd-grade students creating JOYBOTS. She is very dedicated to our ACE program and to our school as well. Thank you, Brandy Roton, for your dedication to ACE and Cannon! - Nancy Johns, DC Cannon ACE Site Coordinator-
D.C. Cannon Elementary School Student of the Month
He can turn the world on with a smile! He can make a cloudy day all seem worthwhile! This student’s toothless smile is contagious. He always greets the students and adults with a great big hug and the biggest smile. Landon Lucus always makes your heart happy, and your face smiles right along with him. Everyone in ACE is happier when Landon is around. For this reason, Landon Lucas has been chosen for the student of the month. Thanks Landon for bringing smiles to ACE!- Nancy Johns, DC Cannon ACE Site Coordinator-

Ms. Melanie Raulston is our A.E Butler's ACE teacher of the month. Ms. Raulston is someone who just jumps in and helps wherever she is needed. She may even jump in to help without someone asking for help. The children love to go to her class because she is our computer tech teacher for ACE. The students know they will have a great time with her because they get to play games in her class. At times Ms. Raulston is our ACE receptionist and she does a wonderful job in that position. We truly appreciate everything Ms. Raulston does for our students and staff. Congratulations, Ms. Raulston! -Jackie Arellano, Butler ACE Site Coordinator-
Here is one of our first groups from the fall who tried out Breakout Edu and loved everything about this new program.
From left to right is Aiden Austin, Bryce Whitehead, Elijah Martin and Xavier Jackson. These young men solved one of the codes of “If you give a mouse the key...” and we’re able to unlock one of the boxes.
Belinda Yanes, getting ready for archery class at ACE.
These four young ladies blew me away. In this audition we have: Mr. Barrett, Paige Rasco, Leliah Fassihi, Jodryn Neustupa, and Kirstyn Morgan.
