Events for July 30 to August 3, 2012

When the Lights Go Out

A rather mysterious week is coming up this week at St. Thomas Public Library!

We kick off the week with Family Movie Monday, featuring "City of Ember," (an underground city, scarce resources, lots of action!) That leads us to the crafts of the week - 2 of which focus on recycling library resources, and the other based on trendy "Steampunk" themed art: dark, different, and definitely creative. Also, find out what happens when the lights go at the library with the next "Stuffie Sleepover!" (Watch the video below to see what happened during the last Stuffie Sleepover. Those stuffed animals got into some crazy shenanigans!)

If you have any questions about any of the programs, you can call the Children's and Teens' Department at 519-631-6050 or email them at youthdept@st-thomas.library.on.ca.

If you wish to unsubscribe to this newsletter, please email Ruth, our Marketing Coordinator, at rcrocker@st-thomas.library.on.ca.

Garden Storytime & STUFFIE SLEEPOVER

Wednesday, August 1 @ 7:00 p.m. - lower level

Garden Storytime & Stuffie Sleepover - A new and exciting program! Don't miss out!

First, children of all ages (3 years and older and their families) join us for a magical garden storytime in the library's own garden. After the storytime is a "Stuffie Sleepover."

Have you ever wondered what happens when the library closes? Bring your stuffed animal to this special Garden Storytime and find out! Your stuffie will spend the night in the library and when you pick him/her up the next morning, you will discover what happens when the library lights go out!
