Sign up! Creative Writing Intensive
Join popular authors and screenwriters and write your story
Student leaders have created a dynamic, vibrant virtual world
that includes amazing authors, screenwriters and podcasters.
It's become so cool that we have decided to expand our Creative Writing Intensive.
Write a poem, create a screenplay, develop a podcast, imagine a short story as we explore the four major genres of literature. Then, have your work published in the Boom Site Newsletter and Magazine, and/or share it on the Covid Operation podcast and at the StoryArk Festival.
Meets ONLINE via Zoom Monday through Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00 PM
Week 1, August 3 – 6: Fiction and Non-Fiction
novels, short story, personal narrative, memoir
Week 2, August 10 – 13, Drama and Poetry
screenplays, podcast scripts, poetry, graphic novel, comics
All programming ends with StoryArk Festival Online
on Sunday, August 16th at 4:00 PM through Zoom
*For each day of camp, a different author, screenwriter or poet visits, presenting and offering Q&A in the main room. Afterwards, participants break into separate writer's groups to work on personal projects, support each other's literary goals, hopes, and aspirations.

We empower student voices and equip young artists to succeed
StoryArk provides a variety of creative programming for youth, allowing them to tell their story through their chosen medium - whether that be a novel, poetry, film, song, podcast or anything else they can dream up. Student initiated and student led, each project is imagined, designed, and developed by youth. Professional authors, screenwriters, filmmakers, musicians, producers, directors and actors share their expertise and experience, helping students gain new skills in their craft and empowering them to become their best creative selves.
