Barbed Wire
Westward Exspansion Activity
Definition:
Wire with clusters of short, sharp spikes set at intervals along it, used to make fences or in warfare as an obstruction.
Detail
- Before farmers came out to the west there where a lot of cattle drivers. The cattle drivers would run over the crops of the farmers so after barbed wire was created the farmers created miles and miles of barbed wire.
- it's really not that hard to get over barbed wire as long as your not in a big rush.
- there is still a lot of barbed wire fences left and even more being made, but now it is a advanced version called razor wire.
