Lots of Fun Ahead!
Our 5th graders celebrate on June 5th in the gym. Additional details have been shared with families of our 5th graders. If you have any questions about the evening's events, sponsored by our PTO, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher. PTO is looking for a few volunteers to help with this event, please click here if you are able to help.
Thursday, June 6th is The “Step It Up” program’s “Day of Awesomeness!” here at Hillcrest. Please remember to send socks to school with your child so they can go on the inflatables. No shoes, or bare feet are allowed. Also, any parent wishing to attend to help supervise would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to help out, please sign up here. 4K will be joining K-2 in the morning session from 9:00-11:00. The afternoon session will consist of grades 3-5, from 1:00-3:00. We are really looking forward to this amazing, awesome day. The rest of the prizes will be awarded that day, so if your child has a prize coming, it will be sent home in their backpack. Thanks again to everyone that participated.
Finally, on June 10th we say our final good byes as a school. Join us for the all school picnic in the yard from 11:30-12:30. Families are welcome to bring their child a lunch and sit with their child's class. Please allow plenty of time for VERY busy local restaurants and a full parking lot. We hope for lovely weather so walking isn't a challenge for everyone.
Also, on June 10th, the PTO treats our students to ice cream sundaes. This includes ice cream with each child's choice of toppings. If your child has any dietary restrictions, please make sure his/her teacher is aware. We have dairy free options available as well!!
Beginning around 3:00PM, we gather in the gym for a sign-a-long. We have a few classics that everyone loves to sing together. Around 3:30, the 5th graders move to the Bell Door (entrance #2) to ring the old Hillcrest bell on their way out the door. Parents of 5th graders will not want to miss watching this tradition.
There is still so much fun to be had. We look forward to seeing you at these events!

Safe Arrival - Available Now!
1) By far the easiest way to interact with the new system is by downloading the app on your phone and signing up for an account.
2) If you are not an app user and prefer to use your computer signup and login at https://go.schoolmessenger.com/
3) The phone option is still available by calling the attendance line at school. There will be a menu there to transfer your call into the new system. You may however, want to use the direct number 1-866-490-7371. By dialing direct from a phone that is registered with the district, the system should recognize the number you are calling from and be able to quickly identify your children and allow you to confirm their absence.
