Stations:
Poet Tree - Students wrote their favorite lines from a poem on to a leaf and then pasted it on to the Poet Tree. Students the had to record themselves reading at least three other people's leaves.
Blackout Poetry - Students made poems from the pages novels, blacking out the words they do not want to use to make a unique poem. The students then taped their original poem to the Blackout Poetry Wall and had to take a photo of themselves with their poem.
Flipgrid Station - Students recorded a favorite poem using the Flip grid app on the ipads provided. These were shared with our CCSD students. Upon completion, students had to take a photo of their Flipgrid selfie which is the last step before submission.
Bonus - Students were asked to get into small groups of 2-3 to write an eight-line poem, taking turns in writing each line.
They had a blast and I can't wait to use this app again.
