Message from Dr. Ramirez
Hello CRHS Learning Community,
We come to the second semester!
On Friday we held our New Addition (J-Wing) Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Local dignitaries, OCS school board members, and Dr. Felder had the opportunity to tour the building. Check out the aerial video of our campus, courtesy of one of my neighbors.
Once we are learning in person again, students who have English, World Languages, or Social Studies classes will be in J-Wing for those courses. Once we are able to do so, we will hold parent tours. I want to thank the county taxpayers and everyone who helped design the building. Teachers moved into the new wing last week. We're very excited to break it in.
This week is Senior Spirit Week! Here are the theme for each day:
Monday: Team Day (It's the GB Packers for me)
Tuesday: Dress up/Dress Down and Seniors v Staff Volleyball at 12:30 (link tbd)
Wednesday: Wacky-Tack Wednesday
Thursday: Tik-Tok Thursday and Seniors v Staff Basketball at 12:30, Homecoming coronation at 5:00 pm (link tbd)
Friday: Flashback Friday and Senior Drive Through Lunch
See this PowerPoint for more information. We will celebrate spirit week with the other grade levels soon.
We have made some adjustments to our schedule for the 3rd semester only. See the attached schedule below this section. We added 10 minutes to each class and now require students to attend Friday morning classes. Community and teacher office hours are now from 8:45-9:30, We also have new student participation expectations. They are:
Attendance taken at the beginning of class and at the end of class, including Fridays.
Roll Call: Students will need to participate in roll call by either showing themselves on cameras, typing in the chat window, or responding verbally.
Participation: Students who do not respond to teacher questions and/or attendance will be placed in the teachers’ Zoom or Google Meets waiting room.
Students who do not show up for Friday classes or Ridge Time will be marked absent.
If you have not had a chance to see the power point about the schedule changes, click the PPT link above.
We look forward to having a strong second semester.
Yours,
Dr. Ramirez

Message from CRHS Habit for Humanity Club
I hope you're doing well. I am the president of Habitat for Humanity Club at school and Co-President of the Orange Habitat Youth Council, and I wanted to inform you about a fundraiser we are doing. We are hosting a Valentine's delivery service for people to order chocolate, a teddy bear, and/or a wooden rose for a special someone. The gift will be delivered to the recipients door by Habitat volunteers (completely contactless+masks just in case).
100% of proceeds go to Habitat, and will help us fundraise for the house that the local high school clubs are building this year (Cedar Ridge, Chapel Hill, East Chapel Hill, and Eno River).
