WEEK 38: The Last Days
Here it is once again – the last day of school. This week each day was something different – middle school finals, locker/desk/classroom cleanout, Beach/Summer dress out, Kindergarten recognition, 8th grade graduation, Field Day, and then today – the Last Day. This week, excitement was high. One teacher described it as “the students were vibrating.” The same could be said for the teachers and staff.
This week, we were looking forward – anticipating – the end of the school year. This is just a temporary ending. In a few months, we will be counting down the days to go back to school, and the cycle starts all over again. However, there will be a time when the "last day" will be the final last day – the day that Jesus returns and carries us home. We don’t know when that will be or if it will even be during our lifetime, but I pray that you keep the faith so that we can all reunite once again in Heaven.
I hope that you all have a wonderful summer – filled with good memories and times shared with your children. Treasure the moments – they grow up so quickly! For those who are moving on, I pray that God be with you and your child. For everyone else, I look forward to seeing you at our Back to School Open House on July 30.
May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace!
God’s Blessings,
Delaine Schiestel
